2020 RV Shows

Is anyone going to any of the RV Shows this month or next? We have a large one starting next Friday (10th-19) here in Ohio @ the state fairgrounds.

We are going just to see what "updates" have been done and also looking for a deal or 2 on some supplies i.e. Eternabond tape, sewer hoses, water hoses and etc. Also looking for some simple mods I can make to keep the wife happy(led under counter lighting, etc.)

We are NOT buying a new coach!!!

We had one in Portland, OR in November. It's always fun to look but didn't see anything revolutionary this time.

Famous last words before looking at new campers "we are NOT buying a new camper" LOL.

Tampa FL show is supposed to be second largest behind Hershey PA show. Tampa is in January. Hershey show is in September as I recall. Tampa has all that central Florida has to offer! Hershey has chocolate!

Chocolate wins ( I say this as eating my chocolate ice cream for tonight) lol.

We DO want to make the Hershey show 1 time, maybe this year.

Our previous (SOB) trailer gave us a lot of trouble over the four years we owned it. Every year at the Tampa show we would check out fifth wheels to see if there was something out there that we liked. When we saw the Montana, we knew we found one.

We didn’t buy at the show, but traded ours in on the one we have once we got back to Canada.

We still go because the show is a lot of fun, the vendors are interesting, and the entertainment is good as well.

Cleveland, OH at the IX center. It's an indoor show (one of the largest).
Jan 8-12. We go every year just to get free stuff. If we have time, we look at the RVs too.

We went to the Wichita Kansas one yesterday.

We were a little bit disappointed in the selection of campers they had. I don't know what the ratio was, but I would guess that 75% of them where bumper pull units. There was not one popup there.

Since we're not into either one of those, there was a lot to look at that we were interested in.

We didn't really see anything earth shattering as far as designs go. We saw some stuff in some of the nicer bumper pulls, but didn't really interest us...

We were at the Dulles Expo Center RV show this weekend (near Washington DC). We bought a Montana HC last March but enjoy seeing new technology. We also look at Class Cs for the day when towing a 5er is too much for our retired age.

One vendor at the show had lots of RV stuff at 50% off, even expensive surge protectors, generators (but not Honda), kayaks, fishing poles, sewer hoses, heated water hoses, heavy duty leveling blocks, 30 and 50A dog bones, etc, etc.

Well I must admit, the show this year in Columbus was a bust in my opinion. NOTHING even made me look twice at it, not the floor plans, nor any new "gadgets" they have come out with. I go to see what type of upgrades that I can do to our coach to make it "our own", not just a stock coach.

Also there was NO vendors selling any type of accessories anywhere in the 3 buildings that had coaches. Plenty of motorcycle and ATV dealers tho. Next year, Im going to the big one in Cleveland at the IX center.

We go to the Houston show every year. Still have our 2012 3582RL and have no desire to get another, but we get the greatest ideas at shows. Morryde steps, RVLock, various hangers, so much more that we have improved our 5’r for us.

We will be at the Tampa show January 15. Hope to keep from finding something we’ve got to have.

Went to the South Bend show for the first time. No Montana's but the Pinnacle was an eye opener. Might just stick with the Indy show which has been an annual event for us.

You might like the one in Indy. Suppose to be one of the largest in the Midwest.
