Down a winding easterly road, following Lake Ossipee is a Campground Called Danforth Bay Camping Resort. And a resort it is. Three large pools, a kiddie pool, recreational room, Archery, Tennis, Canoeing, Kayaking, movies, activities and room to explore, Danforth Bay is a great place to visit.
It is off the beaten track a bit. About 18 miles south of Conway, NH, 5 miles east of route 16 and about 40 minutes west of Westbrook, Maine.
A large number of the sites available to weekenders will accommodate big rigs. Danforth is a popular campground and fills up quickly. Early reservations, especially for any holiday weekends should be made very, very early!
