RV Transport Service
Hello Everyone! I was wondering if anyone knows of a trustworthy transport service that can bring our Monty from Southern Calif to Eastern Washington. Thanks in advance for any info you may have! Sue

You might check w/Good Sam's Emergency Assistance Plus to see who they would use. They help members get home and transport the rig, too. They might be willing to suggest a contractor?! You can email me if you want more info.

RCMP03,
Your best bet may be to contact a local RV dealer and see who they use. All the units have to be delivered to your local dealer and they do that by towing them one by one. We often run into these folks at Service Stations and Rest Areas. What would be nice is if you could find some one who lives in your area who is delivering a trailer in S. CAL. That way he would not be just dead heading back to home..... He could tow your rig up to WA. Good luck. Dennis

Good ideas! Thank you for our input. So far I have been checking transport companies and finding it it quite expensive ($1500-$2500)! Guess that is to be expected. If Good Sam or RV dealer can't help, we will have to go to plan B (take vacation time to pick up and bring back!). Take care....

True, but nothing beats going out and picking up your new Monty yourself and who doesn't love a vacation? I would not have traded that experience for the world!!

Most delivery quotes I got from dealers was around $1.35 per mile. Which is why I am going to pick mine up myself in the next few weeks. Doesn't always work time-wise for people, but it seems like it would be cheaper. Plus I want to go through a dealer PDI process rather than just have it dropped off at my front door!

Sue and Harv,
If you can get the time off to drive down and get it that would be what I'd do. But understand time constraints might make that hard to do. Good luck whatever you end up doing. If you need a stopover in the Bakersfield area just drop us a note. Dennis
