Has anyone had success, I mean a cooked bag of microwave popcorn, that is almost or close to perfect?
I get 1/2 bags, burned bags, dud bags usually whatI get isabout 1/2 popped and 1/2 unpopped.

I think each MW is different....what I do is stand there until the popping slows down and is almost done and then turn off the MW. Sometimes there are a few un-popped kernels nut that's better than over-cooked popcorn.

I really like popping my own. The Whirley Poppper is great. Amazon has a better price,
http://www.amazon.com/Whirley-Pop-St.../dp/B00004SU35 - 98k, but here is a good description http://www.popcornpopper.com/24000.html and mouthwatering picture http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.c...r_1907_5908922.

My Dometic microwave works greaton corn. My old one at theold stick house would burn it, I founf that if the "pops" get down to about 2 seconds apart, and there are few of them the corn is done. None of the micro popcorn is perfect, but Orvilles does seem to work really well

Has anyone tried the "kettle corn" microwave popcorn? It has a sugar candy flavor instead of the butter. A nice variation from the traditional.
Enjoy!

Our Convection Oven/Microwave directions say to put the bag on an overturned glass pie-pan. When we do - the pop-corn is perfect.

Txkrumm, we agree with you. The kettle corn microwave popcorn (Redenbacher's) is really, really good.

See another Montana or Mountaineer on the road? Flash lights twice, it might be one of us!
