The Show is Always in the Campground!

A few days ago, as usual we watched the amazing show in the campground. A RVer, set up his propane BBQ. Here is what he did--
1. Disconnected one 30 lb bottle in the RV and opened it to get a loud "Swish" of gas.
2. Connected his BBQ to the tank. The BBQ is now lower than the tank.
3. Set up the BBQ under his bedroom slide out.
4. Lighted the BBQ and cooked a few items and left the grill running many time while he went somewhere else.
5. Had Dinner!
Since propane is heaver than air, one of these days, a slow leak from a tank above the flame will have a big "BOOM". Or his bedroom slide will catch fire. Got away with it this time. Hope his insurance is fully paid!

We do some pretty silly/dangerous things...one of the most dangerous things we can do is point out others' errors. Found that some people can get very defensive/combative! Still make the effort:-)

This is an older post, but I want to install a quick connect to the propane system for grills and camp stove. After reading this, I will be plumbing it in differently than I first thought. Thanks

We got a kit at our dealership which adds an extra connection at the top of the tank. We use this for our grill, it works really well. We connect a gas hose about 10-12 feet long. The kit wasn’t cheap but it gives the peace of mind that the grill is hooked up safely.
