where do you hang your states map?

DH doesn't want it in a window. I have seen them on the side walls of slides. Where do you all hang your states maps?

Surprising this should be brought up. Just put up two today. One on the entertainment side slide out and the other on the bedroom slide. Both facing forward. Why two you say? Well our RV club said we shouldn't be able to put states on that we had visited with our previous 2980RL. So the one on the bedroom slide has the 45 states from the 2980RL. On the entertainment slide we have the map with the 4 states we have visited with the 3150RL.

On the 2980RL I had the map on the basement door on the kitchen side. Do what ever lights your fire.

Had one, lost during replacement of storage bay doors. Have replacement purchased, not installed. Will go same place.

On the inside of the street side basement door. It's visible when the door is open.

We finally got smart! It seems every time we put a map on the door, we traded rigs- Now we have our map on a piece of clear plastic and mounted the whole thing on the inside of the entrance door for all to see when the door is opened or fastened open- Y'all will find the perfect spot for yours- Good luck & God bless- JMHO- Don

Don and Judy,
That is a great idea for your map! It makes a lot of sense. One of these days I'll have to make up one.

Travel safely, Dennis

I like the idea of having it mounted on a separate board that it would stick to or a piece of Plexiglas. However, ours is on the living room slide so that when the slide is out it can be seen from the front of the camper.

Great idea! I have struggled with whether to replace the one we had on our previous trailer and I like the fact your method would allow us to carry it from rig to rig...not that we plan on buying a new one anytime in the next several years .

I mounted mine on a piece of finished wood and can put it anywhee I want temporary, I was going to put it on the side of the slide that faces the rear and it would be protected from the sun and weather when not in use because ti would be inside when closed. but I used the wood and can get lost if not carful.

We have ours on a piece of plexiglass and fastened to the door so it is visable when the door is opened. This is our 4th F/W and the same map. hope to have a picture up soon.

We put ours on the kitchen slide-out (curb side) so that it is right beside the entry door. Our visitors can't miss it.

Entry side slide as you walk in the door. Protected as you drive and is there when you camp for all to see. As for us, we made our own rule. If we stayed over night in either Montana, we stay. If we stayed in the TT, it isn't on the map. Make your rules to suit yourself.

We put ours on the side of the main slide to be seen when the slide is open. It often elicits discussion and comment because it is right by the front door when we have visitors.
