WATTS PRESSURE REDUCING VALVE

I recently purchased a Watts pressure reducing valve that has a range of 25-75lbs pressure with a pre-set pressure of 50lbs.

Our Monty is a 2011 & I believe that the unit can withstand pressures of 60lbs plus. I would like to increase the setting on the Watts valve to 60lbs but I do not have a pressure gage.

Is there a method of increasing the pressure without a gage that would enable me to be fairly close to the 60lbs. Something like counting the number of turns of the set screw, etc. This does not need to be all that accurate, just close.

Thanks, Larry P

I don't thonk there would be a standard, as the spring pressure on the regulator depends on the incoming pressure/temperature somewhat. Next time you are at a good hardware store, just buy, or put together a pressure gage and fittings.

A guess would be just that, a guess. To be sure you need a gauge

Okay, I'll just go buy a gage and go from there.

Thanks, Larry P

That's your best bet. I bought mine with the gage and it's done the job of me.

Okay, another question.
Where & how do you mount your pressure valve ?
There's not a lot of space inside the unit by the inlet fixture. Do you have your valve contained within a box outside , or just hanging there for all to see?
I'm going to mount mine after the filter. Is this what everyone else has done?
