Odd tire wear

Can any one tell me why I could have a good deal more tire wear on one of the rear wheels of my tow vehicle than on the other?

The wear is even and the tire pressure has been pretty close (tire monitor) to even.

Do you have a limited slip differential? If not that could be it. I would also measure to see if that tire hasn't been knocked a little out of alignment so that it's moving slightly sideways when it's going down the road.

I see this all the time, usually the right rear on a Chevy. It's the one doing all the work. Most of the time the wear difference is minimal, but it is greatly magnified if pulling a trailer all of the time. More frequent tire rotations will slow the process and help keep your tires wearing closer to the same rate.

One of the reasons to rotate your tires. On my Ford I do it around 10000 miles. Just wore out the OE Michelins and all four were on the wear bars...
