Kitchen drain overflowing

Whenever I close off the kitchen drain lever on the outside, within 2 or 3 days it is leaking out of the belly pan where the lever comes out. Is something broken where the drain attaches to the tank. I remember some members having trouble with broken or loose fittings. Getting real tired of all the problem with this year and half old trailer. My 2001 2880RL was no trouble and this 2010 is falling apart.

Your post causes me to think you have a connection problem, like maybe the seal on it is faulty or the valve is leaking. You will have to drop a portion the belly pan to determine. There is a possibility that the piping is cracked or maybe the tank. From what you describe, It sounds like the piping connections to me. You won't know until you get in there and check it out.

That is probably the cause, but since I am in a RV park in Mesa Arizona they won't let me do this kind of repair. It looks as if I will have to take down the rear stabalizers to get the belly pan down and this is too involved. Will have to leave drain open full time to prevent leaking. More sloppy workmanship from Keystone.

bigred.. I have the same problem on my 2008 3000rk.. Took the belly pan down the other day.. The valve is broken where the handle connects to it. What causes the problem is that the handle is not supported at the frame. If you push down on the handle it will break the valve and start leaking. I have a new valve on the way. I took pictures of the broken valve. I will try and post them in a couple of days.. Also while I had the belly pan down the drain pipe from the galley tank rubs on one of the cross members. I did strap it up.. Also I had to take the spare tire rack down.. and it is bent where the little winch is bolted on the the bracket.. going to get a couple of braces welded on it.. Also took pictures of it..

Our galley tank does the same thing. The tank is cracked up high around the tank discharge fitting. It'll hold good till the water level gets up to the crack, then water starts flowing from the underbelly. I've got a tube of 3M 5200 fast cure, just need the roundtuit now.

Thanks for the responses. Looks like it could be one of those 2 problems. For now I'm going to leave the the rod pulled out and I think that will keep from leaking on the ground. Not going to be an easy chore getting belly pan down with stabilizers fastened over black belly pan. I wonder if my extended warranty would cover this? Thanks for the help. I knew someone would be able to.

bigred.. I do not think I will have to take the rear stabilizers down to fix it.. Mine only leaks when the valve is open. After I install the new valve I will mount some type of support next to the handle. The rod that is on the valve is about a foot long with no support next to the handle.
