My thoughts are that if they tell you $1195 is the dealer cost, and that's what you will pay, then pay it, and keep the Marathons (which you have already paid for).
Then sell them yourself and keep the revenue for yourself. Afterall, it's your money to begin with.

LOL good timing Rick! That is how it worked out today finally. I did not think they would let me keep the Marathons in the deal since they were saying I got the factory price which would not have included the Marathons, but they did. So I can do the $1195, get some $ for the Marathons and be in pretty good shape at the end of the day.

Thanks for everyone's input as always - helped me know some options.

Sounds like a good deal. I put my Marathons on Craigslist and sold them the first day.

Hi Ron,

Well, we were supposed to be in Crooked River on the 14th - looks like that's not happening... We still hope to get out your way soon though.

Can I ask what you got for those Marathons?

Thanks,

Greg

It turns out that my new neighbour is the service manager of a local RV dealership. He's replacing the bent axle and chewed up Marathons of an '09 or '10 Monty. It seems that the tire(s) failed in a turn and bent the axle. He noted that the trailer seems overweight. I'm glad that Montana is addressing the issue.
