I guess I am of the opinion that telescoping jacks are better than the scissor type as far as providing any stability. The scissor type connect to the trailer at a single point and only provide verticle support for the trailer. The telescoping type have two connections to the trailer. Since they are angled, they provide vertical support plus some side to side support.
But either one will be greatly enhanced by stabilizers such as JT Strongarm or similar.
