Broken Blind/Where Do I Find String?

Well my first ever blind broke! To top if off it was on the slide end window...I looked in Wal~Mart and some other stores but no string to be found. Can someone tell me where you purchase this please? Thanks Ladies Kathy

I called the company that makes the blinds and they sent me a whole bunch of the string at no cost. Their phone number was on the underside of the bottom of the day/night shade.

If you can get it from Irvine Shade (the maker), that is good. Otherwise, try looking in real hardware stores, e.g. Ace Hardware, if you can find braided nylon mason's line, that will work. Its real purpose is the guide brick layers in laying bricks, but it has worked well on our shades. Make sure that it is braided, not twisted.

We went to Joann Fabrics and bought 1 mm cord. Has worked great!
