Do we have Ghosts?

Problem: Door side scare light is staying on even after DH disconnected the wires to the switch. It has worked in the passed so we know we are using the right switch to turn on & off. Called the dealer and he was puzzled, he said to check wiring which we did, take out the bulb, which we don't want to do in case of breaking a good seal around fixture. Since we are closing up end of month we will take out the battery, but what could be the solution? Anyone have any ideas?

If it's one of the new remote controlled models, the scare lights also work off the remote.
Try turning them off with the remote.
This has been discussed before.

I had a similar issue with our new 2008 3465SA, and it has remote control. The door side scare light came on and the small light at the front came on. Both at the same time one evening. The small light had not worked previously. Had to remove bulb to shut side scare light off. Placed it on my punch list. Remedy, per dealer, wired wrong in the control panel inside. No issues since. I have a hard time accepting the explanation as being sound. Seems like a electrical check would have caught the wiring error during the manufacturing process. Guess that is too much to expect.

Thank you for the replys. Jack, you were right. After disconnecting everything including the battery we called the dealer for the fourth time, he still didn't have a solution then called us back in about 1/2 a minute. Someone mentioned to him about the remote, by golly - that was it. We had a good laugh over it. Just another lesson learned in the world of RVing.
