staples pushing through roof(it happend again)

hello to all'
well it happened again. In june 2007 we picked up our new 2008 keystone Everest, a few months later I went up on the roof to wash it and found staples pushing through the roof. they did not go all the way through. still under warrenty, the dealer pealed back the roof and used screws to fix the problem. never had the problem again in the 7 years we owned it.
well now 7 years later In January 2014 I buy a new 2014 Montana, we used it 4 times since January , and YES , staples pushing through the roof( not all the way through yet). can you believe keystone is still making the same mistakes after all these years.
had to send pictures to the dealer, so they can send them to keystone to see how to go about fixing it.going to the Hershey rv show in September, I will let the rep know about this ( RIGHT, LIKE THEY REALLY CARE) but I will tell him anyway. I will let you all know how this turns out and how the dealer fixed it.
have and fun and safe camping year.

I have one or two that keep working their way up on my new unit. It drives me nuts. I keep pushing them down and they haven't worked through the membrane yet. How many are you seeing sticking up?

hello,
all I see is 4 on the left rear side. on my Everest it was 5 on the right rear side. talked to the dealer today and he sent the pictures to keystone. I was hoping to have it fixed buy sept6 because we are going to Lancaster PA, but the dealer is all booked up until the 3rd week of sept.
I hope they don't push through on the trip.

Joe-- If they push through you have documentation on them because your dealer sent photos to Keystone. If they do go up and put some Eterabond tape over them to keep any moisture from coming through at the puncture of the membrane. It's a new unit and should be under warranty without any questions! Keep us informed on what comes out of this situation!

I pushed my 4 staples back down yesterday. I took pics prior to doing that. I plan on having a tech look at this problem also during the 15 minutes with a tech at the fall rally.

hello to all. update on my trailer. took it in on Wednesday and picked it up today on Saturday, cant believe they did it so fast. anyway they took the side molding off , peeled back the roof, took the staples out , put screws in and some kind of tape over the screws, then they glued the roof down , put the molding back on and then calked the molding.
I hope it doesn't happed again. i will keep checking on the roof every trip we make. thank you all for your input. well have a happy and safe camping season.
