Awning slow

I just rolled up awning using remote and it was painfully slow. In fact about 2/3 of the way up I thought it was going to quit. Haven't tried wall switch to see if it is the same yet. In fact in a little concerned about rolling it out at all as we need to travel tomorrow.

Any ideas?

Did you loosen the arm knobs?

Assuming the knobs are loose, have you lubricated the hinges? Also, is your battery good?

Now it's stopped while extended 2 feet. Just clicks when you push remote or use indoor switch. Nobs are loose and I applied some silicone. Don't know what to try next.

Owners manually states you can remove a screw at top right and it will roll back up.

Well I just got it closed by pushing it in while running the remote. What did you use to lube?

Hummmm. I have never lubed mine at all and it goes up and down a lot as we do not leave it extended when we are not at the camper..

I just used Slick 50 spray lube EVERYWHERE it moves, each end of the roller in the little holes on each end ,all pivot points, sliding lock bar and mine just got better again I had to do just like you when mine first screwed up I had to have my wife push the button and I had to "Help it along" then after lubing it just got better after moving it up and down a few times

Thanks big sky jimmy. I never thought of lubing the tube ends. Will try that. Good to hear from someone who's had the experience.
