Will she appreciate it?-Yes she did.
Transmission went out on my daughter's 95 Monte Carlo. I've had the replacement for over a year while she drives my old truck. (Yes I've procrastinated, but I new it was a long repair.) 9-1/2 hours into it now, on the down slope. I just can't seem to leave anything untouched though. Noticed the oil pan was wet, repaired that. Engine cradle (frame) was filthy, power washed that. Noticed brake lines looked iffy, replaced those. Old cars sometimes require a fair amount of attention, but it's what I enjoy doing, always have. I just hope she appreciates what she has.

Here is my take Kevin, the 95 Monte Carlo is a neat vehicle to own, the father who is willing and able to do what you are doing deserves the appreciation. I do hope she appreciates what she has in her father.
Bravo.

If you can't do that sort of things for your kids, who can you do it for. Great job dad!

It is easy for them to appreciate the car. Sometimes they have to get older to appreciate your efforts. Good Job! Jim

I agree. Our "children" (30, 33, &39) offer thanks to us for things we did for them when their heads weren't properly attached!

Good job Kevin, this world needs parents to participate in their children's lives as you obviously have been doing.
After the fact though, we couldn't agree more with David & Sharon as sometimes it takes till their 30's before they grab a brain.

On the road again. If she doesn't want it back, I just may start driving it to save on fuel. Drives nice and that DOHC 3400 scoots!

Hi Kevin, Be not concerned if no real appreciation is shown immeadiatly. I have it on good authority that God comes down and removes children's brains around their 12th or 13th birthday, then puts them back in at 25 to 30 years of age. This I've learned from personal experience. We have two daughters and both have thanked us for teaching them how to work when they were young and thanked us for the things we did for them. BTW, I would not even attempt an automatic transmision. You are a good man . God bless you. Dick

Good job Kevin! Nice to be able to take care of the kids - even sweeter when they are mature enough to appreciate you for it...
