Solar instal
I am looking for some advice on where is the best location on bringing down the power from the roof. I have a 2013 3150RL and I was thinking behind the refer. or the wall between the bathroom and the entry closet. I am looking to run 4 gage wire for the drop.

Jeff, When I purchased my 5 er I had the Dealer install my solar system prior to taking delivery. They ran the wire from the panels down the "roof vent" for the refer and then placed the charging indicator under the refer in a panel area. It looks like the venting for you refer is on the side wall which could still work, but you might see some of the wire. I can provide you with pics if need be.
Will you be using 12v or 6v batteries for your system?

h20, I can send pics by e mail, but as I will use my phone to take pictures I can send them to you in a text if you like. Will you want any pics of batteries as I have 4- 6 volts which give a lot more run time off that set up.

I'm not familiar with your model, but I found a vent on the roof that was near where I wanted to go through the roof. The vent pipe went through a wall into the basement and there was room to run the cable in the same space.
On my last trailer (SOB), I used the refrigerator vent which also worked well. Could not do it on this one because the fridge is in the slide and vented to the side, not the roof.

Forgive this brief interruption, but one change I find unhelpful is the use of city name instead of area or city name with state. There is only one "Ore City" in the US, but lots of "Jeffersons," "Cedar City," and "Marshall," etc.
Now, back to the discussion of Solar install in which I am also interested.

PS: If the refrigerator vent is an option, I would use that; no drilling of new holes in the roof.

I ran my wires through the refer vent on the roof. i sent H2o some pics of what i have. I don't think he can go that route.
I agree with you though, the fewer penetrations through the roof the better.

Coming down through the Black Tank vent is an option many have used on various rigs. You make a small hole in the pipe in the belly above the tank to fish the wires back out and then seal it well with silicone and a pipe wrap (or duct tape). Another option is to take down the wall in the basement and check to see if there are any areas with fairly clear run to the roof to drill an entry hole on the roof and feed the lines down.
