Added sewer cutoff question
I have added the additional sewer cutoff like most have. My question is has anyone fixed their's where it won't turn. I no longer have the strength in my hands to hold the valve with one hand and twist the sewer hose with the other hand.

Mine snaps tight enough that I don't have that issue.

Paul, my old hose had no problem. However the new one I have now is much harder to snap on and now my unit wants to twist.

I've got the same twist on one, and it usually stays put. While gluing it on is an option, I'd try some duct tape first. Ours has lost one of the handle ears and I know I'll have to replace it sooner or later, and that would be a problem if I glued it on.

I have a VALTERRA after market twist-on waste valve. It twist on where your sewer hose attaches. After it is attached the valve handle will turn 360 degrees to position the handle to the location you want it. Problem is when you twist on sewer hose the valve wants to turn also.

Someone on this site or another one suggested putting a small screw in there to keep it from backing out when you try to detach the sewer hose. Seems like it will work, although I haven't tried it, I am going to try and do it that way soon when it warms up a little,

Hi Paul,
We have the same problem with our Valterra waste gate also. Im the one that put the screw into it, but that's just to hold it onto the original pipe.
At times I have to get Sharon to hold the handle part and then I can get the hose to snap on.
How you guys been?

I put a dab of silicon on mine to hold it from turning.

I secured my Flush King to the end of my sewer pipe with two small stainless screws. I first drilled a couple small holes and then screwed in the screws.
My sewer extensions are getting harder and harder to twist apart. I finally found the plastic wrench set made for taking them apart or putting them together. I also keep an adjustable oil filter wrench in that compartment to use on stubborn sewer attachments. This is the oil filter wrench that is plastic and has the black rubber strap that adjusts around the filter. Most auto parts stores have them.

That's the sewer hose system I went with. It's a cam loc system that's used in virtually all other fluid transfer industries. It's simple to put the hose on and to take off. It's bulletproof and leak free, there's no twisting of an O ring to wear out.
