Bed headrest board

I want to take my headboard off and redo it is there a special trick to getting off without prying it off. Thanks for any information ahead of time. Ray

Please show us a picture, as there are quite a few different ones. Ours was held on by 4 screws that were behind buttons. It came off in a matter of minutes.

On our 2010 I got to it by taking the bed down and the screws were under the plywood base. The problem was I had to get to it because the new heavier mattress caused it and the bed to unattach themselves from the wall and I needed to rebuild the whole thing.

Ours is an older model with the headboard covered with foam and cloth. Held in place with 4 to 6 sheet rock screws right thru the fabric and into the wall panel. Screws were hidden by the tufts in the fabric. A slight pry of the headboard quickly revealed were the screws were. Had that headboard covered with thicker foam, leather tucked with buttons. Attached it to the wall with 3 short l brackets at the bottom to support the weight and then used a few pieces of velcro to hold it to the wall.

Thanks to all yes I have the one with the leather and the buttons I had a feeling they might be behind the buttons

How are you going to redo the area?

Not sure yet. Might leave leather there and just cover the outer fabric with the same dark blue curtain material. Will post when I do still trying to pick color of curtains in living room. Took out all the valances. Never liked them

We have a 2010 Montana. The headboard was made of heavy cardboard covered in fabric. There were 2 screws holding it to the wall. I gently pulled on the sides and it came off easily. I hung some photographs on the wall instead of redoing the headboard. We are much happier now!
