MIKE GOT A JOB!!!!!!

After 4 months of no job, being downsized, turned down for over 150 jobs he finally got one that is awesome!!!!! It pays VERY well, has better benefits that me and I thought I had great ones and he is excited to start.... but he starts on Monday. I better get before school care set up right away. I can't tell you how excited I am, what a huge load lifted off me.

I'm elated, just had to share.

Outstanding!!! Often things are darkest just before the dawn. Maybe that's why the dawn is so beautiful. Congratulations to you both.

Are you joking? Make supper? He can't even figure out how to run the vacuum. Besides we have been remodeling our house and we haven't had a kitchen for some time, well that's his excuse any way. LOL Plus, I'm not sure I would want to eat anything he made any way.

Congrats Mike & Mel. Got an awesome new job with benefits to boot. That's great. I am only to aware of what it is like to be downsized. As they say "been there, done that" and it wasn't fun.

Thank you again to all of you. This is such a wonderful place, when he called and told me I knew I just had to come out here and share it with you all. Thanks again for all your kind words.

I do believe everything happens for a reason but when it's "happening" it is quite hard to take.

I'm sure all of us on this website are happy and thrilled for you and Mike. I know from experience, what it is to be without a job and it is depressing. Some times it takes awhile to find a quality job, but in this great country of ours, most of us that don't give up, eventually are rewarded. Congratulations and I hope that there is many years of stability for you both.

Melissa,

Thanks for letting us know. I know it's been a worry for you. Sounds like Mel did better than I did coming out of unemployment. Mine lasted 3 1/2 months and I'm working more now and being paid a great deal less. But after everything my state has been through and is still going through I'm happy to have a job to pay the bills.

Being out of work due to budget cuts or downsizing really is stressful. (and in my case throw in four hurricanes) Glad you are on the road to recovery.

I hope it works out for him. Sounds like he landed on his feet.
