Tires on Ground

When I am not out seeing this wonderful country I park my 5'ver on a gravel site in my back yard. My question is, do I need to have my tires off the gravel.

Thank you for your input

I would think that a long it is well drained gravel, not dirt that it would be ok. It's the moisture from the ground that causes problems.

I like to put wood underneath so they don't freeze to the ground.also prevents sinking if not on gravel

When we still had the stick home we parked ours on gravel next to our garage. It was well packed. I never put the tires on anything but the gravel, even over the winter. Never had a problem.

Cheap plastic cutting boards work well also. They are easy to clean and can be used for jack pads.

I saw an article about putting plastic betwen the tires and cement It's supose to give it a barrier and protect them from a reaction so they say, maybe the same with gravel.

I always put something between tires and ground. Most of the time it is boards. Like the cutting board idea. Happy trails.
