I purchased my Mountaineer the same time my friend purchased a Jayco. in compairing the two I am glad i went with the Monty instead of the Jayco. These seem to be better built. His unit has had a lot of small things need repaired and I have had a couple as well. The big difference I have noticed is the room in the Montana/Mountaineers. The bathroom in his unit is like being stuck in a can. In my unit you can move around and its open. This is the big plus for me.

Welcome to the forum steelman. I know that you will be happy with whatever Monty you pick. Do some research first. Be sure the tv can handle it safely. The Monty's pull great.

The smallest Montana will be that long. Be aware that the listed spec's on length are not at all accurate. Our 06 3400 was listed as 37.3 in 06, 38.4 in 07 and it is actually 39.1.The Montana is a good bang for the buck...but..do your homework first. Compare like brands. They all "look" pretty. Compare quality, workmanship, fit and finish..

Welcome to the forum, steelman. We are on our 2nd Montana and have never regretted our decisions to purchase either one.

Take a look in The Trading Post section of the forum. There are some good deals slightly used Montanas in there. Remember nobody drives a new car!
