Dometic Refrig high temp switch open

2010 Montana dometic frig has Li and Op flashing. Manual says high temp switch stuck open. Can this be reset easily. Or do I have to take it to the dealer. Warranty ran out. Thanks

Check for a recall based on your serial number with Dometic.

We had the same problem with our 2012 fridge, the same error codes were flashing and I believe it indicated in the manual that it was a non-serviceable problem. We called a mobile repair person in Yuma and he came and replaced the switch under warranty. Apparently the circuit board/high temp switch was under a recall, but we were never notified, although it did not cost us anything to have it replaced.

I would get the fridge model # and contact the manufacturer, or ask a local dealer if your particular one was involved in that recall.

I may be wrong but I do not think it can be reset, that would just be too simple...

It cannot be reset, as Irpguy said. You need to to check with Dometic. Your refer is probably under recall. If it isn't, Dometic will DEFINATELY want to investigate your refrigerator to limit liability by expanding their recall.
