Vacuum Beater Bar
Hello,
In previous postings somebody mentioned that they have a beater bar attachment for their central vacuum. The vacuum manual does not mention that part, does anyone know where I can get one? I think it would work a whole lot better with it.
Thanks,
Sue

We purchased the Shop Vac air powered beater bar for $24+shipping from shopvac.Com item number 906-98-00. It is only 4 inches wide but does a great job for not a lot of money. The others are 6 inches and I feel this is one place 2 inches does not matter. We only have 400 sq.ft. and not all of that is carpet. We love it and it is small enough to do the stairs and get around the bed and table.
Happy Trails.........................

Parrothead, I am surfing the web for accessories. I don't have my manual with me, do you know what brand does Keystone installs in our Montanas? Would any air power head fit the wand? I'm finding many possibilities. Thanks

We are using a 6" air powerhead from Beam. Looks like they are fairly universal when it comes to fitting the wand.

Thanks everyone...
Ozz, saw your post too late and had already ordered the turbo nozzle from ShopVac for $23.09 plus shipping. Oh well, at least there was no tax! If it works I will be able to loose the upright and save some storage space! The smaller width will make it easier to get into the corners I think too!

We love ours, gets all the sand, cat hair, dirt and dust out much better than the hose and brush alone.
Do you have the space under the refrigerator for storage RCMP03?

Ozz, no we don't but I have seen some of the modifications others have done. If we make the false front into a door, will there be space under the fridge? I was worried there might be wires and such.

RCMP my wife absolutely loves the shop vac beater bar. It is quite useful also for chasing my dog around the Monty. He hates it and treats it like a mortal enemy.
I finally let him win, by shutting the vac off, and he then procedes to sniff it paw it and give little victory growls.
The thing works great, sorry for getting off topic there

Sue and Harv
There is lots of room under the frig. On ours there is carpet and in the very back a closed in junction box with wire in conduit. We've travled many miles with cookie sheets, trays, etc. there and no problem.
Happy trails........................

We find that the powered beater bar from our home central vac will work just fine with the Dometic. Only thing is that it does not stop and start with the switch on the hose, you have plug/unplug to a wall outlet. Not sure if all central vacs beater bars work the same, ours in a Sears.
