Blue, congratulations and enjoy. As for the dryer, it should be 220. If you know a good electrician get them to check the plug for power on two poles. Also check the breaker panel. Sometimes on a dual pole breaker one side will trip and the other side will stay connected allowing the motor to run but no power to the heating element. Also, they could have wired it 120volt by mistake which would also allow power to either the element or the motor but not both. Good luck in the new unit. We love ours.
