Changing new LED ceiling light
One of the new flat LED ceiling lights have gone out. I suspect the whole unit has to be replaced as one. Two questions: (1) I twisted some on the outside cover but it didn't budge, does it just pry off? (2) are the replacements easily available at most RV outlets or on-line?

You have to press up and turn lens counterclockwise at the same time. Some are easy, some are hard. CW and other RV outlets carry the smaller ones, the 5 inch ones I have found, but not that match. Still looking even though warranty covered a replacement for my failure.

If they are glass covered, recessed cans, you migh just need to replace the LED.

thanks 1retired06, it is one of the larger ones. I will remove it and begin a search for a new one. If I have trouble finding the replacement, or the replacement is too expensive, I may wait until my appointment at selling dealer in December to see about getting it done under warranty.

I just finished a 20 minute workout trying to remove a couple of these LED covers! They will move about 1/4" or less counterclockwise while pushing up but will not release. I don't want to attempt to pry them off. There has got to be more to the removal or I have some that they glued on.

If your 2014 lights are the same as my 2015, then as I described. They are tight. If you pry, you will break. Latched in with three notches 180degrees apart. You have to turn past all three on each side. On one, I used the oil filter wrench I bought for the ford diesel, and it gave me some additional torque to spin loose. Talking about the large ones.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that had this problem (if they are the same lights). I turned and pulled and twisted and yanked wondering why something wasn't lining up. In the end, all I had to do was really pull on the glass and it popped right off. Nothing to line up, just more muscle than I expected. Three clips hold the glass that's it.
BTW, these are for the little 4 inch can lights above the rear window in my 3400, recessed into the cupboards.

Thanks 1retired06, I just happened to have a rubber filter wrench that I will try. It is one of the larger ceiling ones that is burnt out.
davidaf, if yours are the flat LED style then we have the same ones. I can see the three little notches that 1retired06 is talking about through the glass just can't get the darn thing twisted enough I guess.

Tired the rubber filter wrench on three covers. They are not coming off. They will turn 1/4" or a little less counterclockwise but not pull off. We have appointment at Lazy Days end of December for some warranty work so I will let them mess with it.
