Apollo oven latch

How do I get the door open? The latch appears to have broke. If I push the button there is no resistence. Door does not open. I have had no problems with it. It is in my 2007 3400 the black oven half time. Does anyone have a part number and source to get latch. Boy do I miss using that oven,at least there wasn't dinner in there. Model number is inside the door I think. I need that to order part. Thanks for the help.

Try a search on this forum, as there have been threads re the same problem. I know that the oven with my 2005 also had a latch broken (cannot remember the brand) and I was unable to repair and installed a Best Buy replacement.

Midwest Sales sent me the replacement part just a few months ago for free!
See my earlier posts.
To open the door I removed the plastic surround and loosened the hinge screws so I could lift the door enough to free it from the latches and remove it.

You can also take a butter knife from the drawn and pry the door open. Lower right hand corner, not the side. Slip the knife there and push knife down, wha-la, door opens. No damage to the door or appliance, and you can get the dinner out and make popcorn later for those evening night movies, lol. Another one of those jobs that has been on the to-do list for a while.

Call Midwest sales and they will get you the part (maybe free maybe not), but they have all the remaining Apollo parts and are good folks to work with.
