Hoping to attend the 2012 Montana gathering for the first time. We would like to be part of the RV Show as well so we would vote for #1

Pat and I are considering....... We would like to cross the southern rt. from N.C. .and taking time to see what we want and arriving for QZ and afterwards proceeding to Monterey to visit our son. We are not sure yet. it would be a new exp. for us, camping in the desert, need advice. thanks in advance.

Larry,
We would love to have you join the group in the desert!!! Take a look at this link which has some good information on how we get water, electric and take care of waste while there:Quartzsite 2012.

If you do plan to join us, at a minimum I would suggest upgrading to at least two 12-volt deep cycle batteries for your rig. Most of them only come from the dealers with one. If you were really up for it converting to at least two 6-volt golf cart batteries is even better. Here is a link to the conversion I did to our rig a while back: Battery Upgrade.

You may also want to look through the "Boon-docking" topic pages on the forum. If you still have some specific questions, e-mail or PM me and we will answer to the best of our ability.

r,
Jack

Great dates but anydate is good for us. We are in AZ every winter so this is fine with us. Looking forward to being there.
Seeing our friends we have not seen for long time.
