Pin box frame repair?

It looks like I have the broken sub frame in the pin box area. I have tried searching for the pictures posted about a year ago showing the repair process. Can anyone remember who posted those pictures ,or where the pictures are located ? Thanks, Bill

Phil, It's a 2007 3000RK, build date 11/06.The way the Hitch flexes upward, I think the front cross frame is cracking. Bill

Bill, I keep watching my pin box to see how much it flexes. I wish I had made that measurement when we first got the Monty. Maybe it would be a good idea to gather all the posts, especially the ones with pictures, for easy reference.

Good luck with getting it repaired.

Bill,
I posted last June when we had a catastrophic pin box and front beam failure. Can't find the post w/search. I believe it started w/the rear welds pulling away from the rear beam causing flexing and stress. Look up inside w/a flashlight at the rear pinbox to beam welds. Front beam and welds are only visible if the cap is pulled. My front overhang was almost touching (it rubbed) the truck bed rails. Measure your clearance when hitched. Pictures etc. on the laptop, as it happened while we were in MN. PM for more info. Hope this helps.

Thanks Capn, I found that post last night.I'm loosing space between the 5th wheel ,and the truck bed. If you lay your arm flat on a table and make a fist with your hand, then lift only your hand, thats the motion the pin box is making.I'll call Keystone, see what they say. Thanks,Bill
