Large rear window - anyone added a rain gutter?

The large rear window in our Monty gets white streaks from rain water running off the roof. We are in a very rainy area for the winter so it will be streaked all winter unless we come up with a fix.

Anyone have any ideas or have you installed a rain gutter for this window?

We have gotten a lot out of this forum - so thought I'd ask.

We haven't found a way to keep the streaks off except for washing the window periodically. If we're moving a lot, the window gets very dirty from the road dirt rolling up the back of the rig. If we're settled for a couple weeks, I wash the window once during that time. I don't use anything special, just some type of window cleaner.

I would imagine you would have to install something all the way up at the seam where the rubber roof meets the rear clip. Not sure you would want to put anything over the window.

Nice looking rig by the way - is it hi-gloss?

Nope, but been thinking about it for the reasons you describe. Just need to find the right material that won't look ugly.

You could use the EZE-RV gutter from camping world. It is flexible vinyl with a self-stick adhesive on the back. I would think if placed just above the window it would work fine.

I wonder if rain-x would work. Should make the water bead and run off. Maybe you will have white spots instead of white streaks

I have the Eze Gutter (ordered from CW) but it says to put up in 70 degree weather - So will have to wait for a nice day.

It looks like it will be a good addition.

Laura,

Looks like that will fit the bill! Anxious to hear how it works.

Our friends and campground neighbours, JLBOZ60 have the EZ gutter from CW. I have bought a roll and will install it soon. It looks good, in fact it hardly shows on their rig. Different units have different rear caps and ladders, so take a look at yours before you buy to make sure you can fit it in up there between the ladder supports and lights.

I am going to the CW in Nashville next week. I will look for some of that gutter material. That sounds great.
