I think it's OK pour RV antifreeze on the ground. After all, it is OK to drink it. It might taste horrid, but it is safe. Otherwise, we'd all be at a horrible risk putting in in our water systems to begin with. |
I have to disagree with you on some points. Yes, it all makes it way back into the environment one way or another. But what goes to the waste water treatment plants is multi filtered, neutralized, separated, and sanitized before being released. And what can’t be safely released is incinerated. But at least what is released is not highly toxic to plant and animal life in itself. Even the link you provided describes it in some detail.
Many things affect animals differently than humans. Pure rv antifreeze can be toxic to animals. Even a favored treat for humans, chocolate, is toxic to dogs.
I would never recommend rv antifreeze be dumped on the ground unless highly diluted first. And never auto antifreeze, even diluted.
