Just an update: Got our Trav'ler replaced this afternoon and was having issues getting connected to Dish. Found out that Dish issued an update to the Wally receivers, after a previous bad update, and with our satellite dish not working, missed the automatic update and with the help of a great fellow at Dish tech support, was able to get the system working again. So, anyone having an issue with their Wallys, give Dish a call and they can get you working again.

Portable dish installs are super easy.
I ran my dedicated cable in a rear window till I was satisfied with the performance of the system.

After that I removed the fireplace and ran the cable up with the stock harness in the L.R. slide. Good digital cable and quality connectors and it's a piece of cake.

Want to make a camping trip to Daytona where we are till December, Ill do your install.

I used my DirecTV from our house after we moved out to live full time in the RV. I called direcTV to set up a move install. The tech was surprised it was not a house but was kind to still help install in the RV... here is what the tech and I did...

1- removed the main cable labeled SAT from the RV splitter as it creates too much resistance.

2- put it in the “input” new spitter that DirecTV tech provided.
3- found which cable went to what TV. Living room and bed room. And plugged them in the new splitter “out put”.
4- remove the dual connectors “ create resistance “ that are on the wall behind the TV. Used that cable directly in the main box(living room) and the cable in bedroom directly in the smaller box.
5- installed the SWM under the access compartment who also connects into the new splitter.
6- the tech gave me the flat roof set up that uses concrete blocks hold the dish but we left it on the ground pointed in the proper direction!
7- it all works!!!!
