For Fireman815. Dual 6v in parallel is better than 12v, but only if you boondock a LOT. Four 6V is even better (two 6v batteries connected in series to create 12v, then another two 6v batteries in series, then connecte in parallel). This is even better for boondocking because 6v batteries discharge slower.

But like me, since I mostly am connected to shore power, one 12V battery will suffice, since it stays charged via the rig's converter.

It's about how you plan to use your rig and where (shore power or not). You could certainly invest in 6v systems but it could be overkill (overspending) if you use only shore power. I want to convert to 6v so I can boondock more.

I am a great fan of Trojan Battery's they make a 12V Golf Cart Battery an option that would fall in between 1 12 V RV/Marine Deep Cycle and 2 6V Trojan Golf Carts.Check the trojan site for specs and dimentions I beleive thier number is T 1275 for the 12 Volt

when you buy from dealer it could be either one battery or two. when dealing with a dealer you can get whatever you want them to install. i'd go for 2-12 volt or 2-6 volt batteries

dealers either put in one or two batteries...ask them for at least 2 12 volt or 2 6 volt batteries.
