Removing and reinstalling batteries - How?

I use two 6 volt batteries as my coach batteries. I removed them this fall to store and charge them in my garage at home. I had a hard time getting them out of the battery storage compartment (those suckers are heavy!! ) I'm not looking forward to putting them back in.
If you remove/reinstall yours, how do you do it
