Yes, indeed. What a great day! I did not count the number of RV's I walked through..but it was a lot! I did not see one unit, in the 29 to 30 ft range that can I would trade for my 2980RL. In a larger unit it would probably be the new 3380RL.
This is just my opionion, but I came away feeling that many of the longer and larger units that I felt were so great last year...were a little less attrative to me. I felt many of the interiors in the higher end units were of lesser quality. Some really strange colors too.
The high dollar Class A's were the only ones that I thought really took it "up a notch" this year.
Except for Keystone.
They were the only 5th wheel manufacturer that I saw really making an effort to change the floor plans enough to make them distinct from one another. The new 3380RL has the most kitchen counter space I've seen any make or model and the bedroom changes have made it much more open and spacious.
The highlight of the day was meeting the other forum members and sitting around chatting with the General Manager of Keystone as he asked for "our" imput on some of the new changes and what we would do differently.
I came away with a better appreciation of the effort Keystone is making in trying to build the units we want and love while trying to keep the cost afforable for the us.
It was a great show. I'm sorry we ALL did not get to meet. But to Rob and Julia, Fla Hobo, Jimnmick, Wa4bmg, GlenNY, (and who am I forgetting?) It was so great to meet all of you very nice people and finally have a face to put with a forum name.
