Sorry we missed the rally

Well we did make it to the Guadalupe River RV yesterday (March 25th) but to late for the rally. We had good intentions but our Ford and the weather had different ideas. First just before we were going to leave we realized that our Passports had expired the week before. After a mad rush to Calgery and a surcharge we got them in 2 days. This made us late getting away. Then on Saterday afternoon as we approched Bozeman MT the turbo on the truck decided to pack it in. Why do these things always happen on Saterday afternoons? The Ford dealer was very good and got us out by Wednasday afternoon. The truck was still not acting the way it should so we stopped in Casper WY to visit their Ford dealer. They also treated us very good as they checked things out. After replaceing an exhust gas temp valve we got on our way again. Then the weather caught up to us with snow and cold. Our kitchen froze up even with the furnace on full.We finally got to Carlsbad NM with some warm temps. We decided that we weren't going to make the rally so we stayed for two days of R&R. Thus we didn't get to Kerrville until the 25th. We knew we were late by the amount of Montana's that we met heading west on I-10 as we approched Kerrville. We now plan on spending several days at this beautiful RV park. We are on our way to the EAA Sun N Fun flyin at Lakeland FL and want to spend some time along the Gulf. Hope our trip goes better from here.

There are a few of us Rally people still hanging around. I know you ran into Waynem yesterday. RPHOWARD and we are in #117 & 116. Stop by if we don't get to you first.

Bruce & Mary,
It was nice meeting the two of you and that nice chocolate lab. We caught up on some touring today and we are leaving tomorrow. I have no doubt that you will enjoy the area. There is a lot to see. Tim and Susan, our gracious wagon masters for the rally live in/near San Antonio so make it a point to have a meet with them.

We have a little RC flying club in TC. I've gone out to their practice area a few times to watch them. It fascinates me how they can make those little planes do what the do.

Good luck on the rest of your travels.

Goody, you are not the only one that happens to. We also were headed to the rally on Saturday and had a injector go bad soaking the exhaust pipe with diesel. For once being cold was good. It was in the 30's however if it was hot I think things would have went up in a ball of fire. With the smoke coming out from under the unit you would think it was on fire.
