Lifes ups and downs

First off, we're back. Finally got internet back up since our move. As of December 31st, we are home owners, having purchased my first home in my meager 57 years. We are blessed to have a real roof over our head and a Monty as well. Sadly, for the first time in twelve years I am without my buddy. We had to put down my 14 year old Boxer, Beau, last weekend. After a bad seizure,we had to decide what was best for him and not what was easiest for us. Now the search is on for a new buddy, not only for me but for our Morky. He's really missing his playmate and pal. I guess these are the things in our lives that make us who we are.

Congratulations on your new house and so sorry for your loss. Since we adopted our Greyhound last December, we have learned how quickly they become family.

Congratulations on the new house!
It’s difficult sometimes but we must do what is best. Pets don’t come without becoming attached!

Congratulations on the new home. Glad you have it and the Monty. I know the MOC family have a lot of four legged friends. They are taken way to quick. Good luck on your search.

As boxer owners we have gone through 3 losses. We had very good fortune to adopt from a rescue , a 2 year old male who we lost last year to lymphoma at the age of 6. Harley was lonesome so we got a female pup this time. I forgot how busy puppies are! A pair is always great to have.
You can`t replace the one you lost but another always needs a home.
Best wishes to you.

Congratulations! We're so glad to hear the happy ending to your story, regarding the house. As for Beau, we're so sorry about him; it's hard to make choices like you had to make. I think we told you last summer that we also had to put down our beloved boxer because he developed a seizure disorder secondary to a brain tumor. We weren't ready to say good-bye, but he was suffering, and we had to do what was best for him, not us. Perhaps you'll soon have a new dog in your lives, one that won't replace Beau, of course, but which will lighten your hearts a little during this sad time. If Morky was as attached to Beau as our two Aussies are attached to one another, finding a new puppy will be a double blessing!

Again, congratulations on the new house. We know you are excited!

I am so sorry for the loss of your furry kid. We had to put down our beloved 8 1/2 year old rottweiler Casey because of seizures. We decided quality of life for her was most important. Ten years later I still have a lump in my throat and a pain in my heart. I hope your grieving will be lessened by the addition of a new buddy for your morkie. BTW...morkies are the absolute cutest dogs!!!!!!!!!
