2955 again
Hi again
I was under the trailer and found a drain handle by the tires. I have two in the front compartment but didn't see this one when I dumped for the first time ...Thanks

That is the drain for your galley tank. It is often overlooked by dealers as well as buyers. It is rather important to dump that tank also, unless you do not use the kitchen sink!!!

That is correct. The drain is for the Galley tank. If not drained, your kitchen sink will fill up and not drain. Ours is also underneath the slide so I use an awning pull rod to reach under the slide and hook onto the handle so that I don't have to crawl under the slide to drain.

Yes that is what the gray tank is. When dumping we usually empty the black tank first, then the galley and then the gray.

yup, uncdodge.... now that you know about all your drain valves CasaDelSol has the best order for draining. The point is the the "dirtiest" tank is drained first, then the one with all the kitchen debris, then finally the bathwater because it is beleived that one would be the cleaner one of the grey water tanks.

One more point that helps me, I like many other have a shut-off value at the end of the pipe and will combine the gray and galley to make 76 gallons of storage capacity. This helps at state parks that don't have full hook ups.

Just a technique...I dump a very small portion of one of the gray tanks first to check the connections between the fifth wheel and the sewer. If something is going to spill on the ground, I would rather it be some gray water than whatever might come out of the black tank!!! Then I go back to the black, gray, gray order.

My galley tank doesn't seem to drain very well. Is there something I'm not doing? When I pull the valve open I don't hear water running or see the hose fill up.

It sounds as though the valve isn't opening. You should both hear and see a rush of water.

My gallery doesn't drain very fast either. I have a 2955. If you think about it this is probably normal. It's a small pipe it's long and there isn't much fall on it, so it's going to be slow to drain.

I agree with mlh. My 2955 galley tank is the slowest to drain completely. I get a prety good rush when it is full but it seem to take a very long time for the last of the water to come down the pipe. I only worry about a "completed" draining of the galley tank in the Fall when I put Monty to bed for the Winter.

Must be lucky...our rear gray tank drains fairly quickly. Still have to crawl under the slide to pull the drain lever.

I do not to seam to have a problem with my 2005 2955 galley tank draining. I leave all drain valves open while I flush the black tank then close them all up when all water flow stops.

Don't know what the difference is between the piping of the 2955 and our 3075, but the pipe to the galley tank is also smaller than the other pipe. But when I pull the handle, there is a rapid rush of water and noise to go along with it. With my clear extension, I can see that the water almost fills the larger pipe for 15-20 seconds before it begins to slow down. It does take a while to completely drain after that.
