Dale, Terrie has arthritis and a knee replacement. We live at about the same altitude on the other side of the front range. The weather actually feels warmer because of the low humidity. It should not be a problem. Bud has a good handle on the temps. Plus, the fall is a different feel than the Midwest. The aspens bring a golden hue to the mountains, the elk will be bugling and the climate is perfect fall camping weather (typically). Hope you can join us.

OK folks, a question dear wife is asking and, I'm kinda' curious about too, what are the temperatures in those mountains usually like at that time? Have to say we are thinking........ With her RA and my 2 fake hips, we do not deal well with cold and damp. Even here in Goshen, IN!

No promises, yet.

That extra 4,000 feet to the top is about 20-30 degrees different. You can see snow any month at those altitudes. The fall usually doesn't have as variable of weather. Now for the disclaimer, your mileage may vary, open to legal residents over 21, may not be combined with other offers.

OK. So, out of the blue earlier today, DW was asking me questions about this rally. She must be thinking about doing this trip! And, that is a good thing!! Her only concern is traveling over the labor day weekend. I said, that should be no concern because, we could be there no later than the Friday before the rally starts. She looks at a calendar and, I point out that it would give us a nice 2 week vacation. Her comment was, "HUH!!"

So........ I informed her that we have only 11 days to decide to get a good spot and, we need to move quickly. As long as I can make her think this is all her idea, it will be good! #128521;

Check out Western Ridge in Livermore, Colorado. It is two miles from our house and then we can caravan over on Tuesday morning, Dale.

Finally got our schedule figured out. If it's not too late, we would like to attend. Sorry for the so, so, late notice. I can get the check in the mail Wednesday if there is still room for us.

I am getting really excited about this rally!! I see Margaret and Dwayne have signed up so now we are officially a larger group than the CPRR we just attended! We are still in Nebraska but I am hoping you have received my emails Susie. I will be in touch by phone soon, or you can reach me at 303-818-3769. I am curious as to whether we already have assigned site numbers because we will probably want to come early and stay late. I would like to know if we are registered at Winding River by name before I call them to extend our stay.

It is best if changes to your dates are done through me, so I can juggle sites if folks want to come in early or stay later.

Having spent many summers in Grand Lake, many in Winding River in our Montana, sorry will not be able to make the Rally as we are circling Lake Superior.

BUT.... Please book your tickets to the Grand Lake Rocky Mountain Rep Theatre
Forever Plaid plays thru September 26.

Bikefever, we looked at the show Forever Plaid, but they need total pre payments. We decided that was too much of a decision to make as they needed payment almost right away. If there are cancellations people can go on their own. We are trying to not schedule too many events so we can all get to know one another better, and have plenty of relaxation. There is plenty to do in the area! Also some will need time to get acclimated! Enjoy your travels. Maybe see you next year.

It is a GREAT theater, Forever Plaid is a fun show!! I've already seen 2 of this years' plays, and always amazed at the professionalism. Already several rally attendees have asked if we were going to make arrangements for a group outing. After talking to the theater again, I may be able to get the group rate and have people call in individually for a selected night.
