This is our first Montana - second Keystone product (2017 Laredo 330RL). The Laredo had a mis-aligned black tank that did not seal properly and floor around the toilet rotted. Keystone fixed it all under warranty. We liked the layout, fit and finish, but we live in our unit several weeks at a time for my job and DW really missed not having a bathtub. The RV industry has come to the conclusion that only bunkhouse models need a bathtub so tubs have basically disappeared. We had been thinking about the Montana 3921FB for a while. The black tank episode convinced us to make the change in January at the Fort Worth RV show while we were on a 3 month work related task.

We have been living full time in it now for 6 weeks with no significant issues. I have posted to other threads here about the satellite connection and my plan to address that once we get home. There is a 24” section of trim next to the theater seat that came loose and I easily glued it back with contact cement. The slow rise blind over the table will not stay in the down position and I will fix this when we get home. We both brought way to many clothes for this 3 month assignment and drawers and closets have served us well. DW really likes the stove, oven and convection microwave. The residential fridge is great. I really like the on demand hot water. I don’t have to limit shower time anymore and DW LOVES the tub! I installed a small door/window alarm on the control center cabinet door to remind myself to not leave the door open (so DW will not hit her head on it any longer - see separate post). Basically the floor plan is a dream. We appreciate the quality, colors and finish. It has exceeded our expectations. I still have a lot to learn - this forum is almost as good as having an RV expert neighbor living next door!

Bought new in 2013 and have spent roughly 5-6 months of the year in it since. Have been over most of the US except for the Pacific NW. It works fine for us and our two big dogs. Only thing would do differently is no carpet. Golden Retrievers shed hair like crazy and it is hard to get out of the carpet. Have had a few issues but nothing that would make us look elsewhere if we ever decide to replace it.

Yes we are

This is our 2nd Keystone ('04 Cougar), 1st Montana. We have been very happy overall and would buy another. There have been some issues that I was disappointed were not caught/addressed in R&D http://www.montanaowners.com/forums/...ad.php?t=71507
and some other small issues. But, I'm picky and detail oriented so i'm probably going to find issues with any rig. On the brighter side, this gives me the opportunity to "tinker" with our rig and customize it the way we want it,

You can make an appointment and get all this done at MorRyde in Elkhart. Be sure to wear your pants with the deepest pockets!

We are satisfied.
All RV's regardless of brand are going to have issues.
I have spent many hours fixing little things that were wrong, but we moved in for 6 weeks to a brand new unit and was not going to motel it for warranty work to be done.
I'm a mechanic and do boat and rv work anyway, gives me something to do.....lol
Besides I know what I repair or modify is going to be done better than 99% of the dealers.
yesterdays project was replacing all the hardware attaching the fenders to the skirting with 8-24 stainless screws, washers and nylock nuts.

Yes but getting it done aftermarket means it is out of pocket instead of rolled into the note!!!

Besides there are a lot of folks that would not think of this stuff until they got on a forum like this. The mfg. should be RECOMMENDING these upgrades!!!! Perhaps a lawsuit or two will change their mind?

I bought my first Montana in 2003 and we had it for 15 years as we traded it recently for our 2018.5 3791 RD. They make a quality product that we have enjoyed over various states.

I have owned my Montana 389TH since December and have yet been able to use it because of all the factory defects. I finally got it back 4 days ago from my 3rd trip in for repairs. Woke up this morning to 35 degrees because once again the furnace does not work. This has been the worst experience of my life and if I had it to do over, I sure as Hell would not buy anything made by Keystone.

Sorry for all the problems you are have with your 5er but you know keystone only installs the parts they don't make them but they should test them before it gets sent to a dealer to sell it! although the dealer's need to do a better job on a PDI before you pick it up! It sound like you did not have a very good walk through before signing any paper work maybe a lot of the problem is the dealer you bought it from just a thought!

I rarely use the dealer for any warranty work unless it is on the trailer, like now 2 pieces of wood trim ordered. Yes, I have to pay a service charge but that is almost covered by fuel on a trip to the dealer and way over on 2 trips to the dealer. I've had a furnace done by a mobile tech at a campsite under warranty while 760 miles from home. They have come right to my storage lot a few times over the years as well. If they don't get it the 1st time there is no service charge on a call back ~~ but in my experience they never needed to return.

Montana? Yes!! Dealer? No! Warranty work, minimum one month waiting a the dealer! Just way too many units and too few repair places in So Cal!

We, so far, really love our 3791 purchased in October. Dealer has been helpful after the fact. Only issue has been water getting in the pan of furnace outside during travel in rain - might be the turbulence caused by the bug screen I added to vent. Have made some small mods but have found nothing to complain about. The MOC has been our friend for questions about stuff we did not fully understand or did not ask at the PDI. This is my first "camper" and I'm still in the learning phase. All that we show it to, just loves the interior layout and appearance. I'll most likely do the "disc brake thing" in the fall.

We have owned many rvs. All 5th wheels. We like the floorplan, the auto leveling, camera, etc.,. When we bought ours new in Reno the front and rear caps needed to be touched up. We took the rv to the body shop they recommended. IT SAT FOR MONTHS before the dealer touched it. When they did get on it, they put holes in the awning, dented the awning tube, ripped two vent caps off the roof and put the Montana cap decal on upside down... even tho not keystones fault it made me upset...
Now for the complaints... The fender screws backed off causing the fenders to flap while going down the road.. i fixed this.. The bathroom shower handles fell off, dealer used a glue gun to fix and the glue did not hold. The water heaterdid not work on electric, the dealer fixed this. The fifth wheel was brought back the thetford toilet would not hold water.. after the 3rd time of having dealer fix the toilet i paid out of my pocket to have a dometic installed.. problem solved.. Black tank handle was brought back twice as it would not close.. fixed..Interior rope light burnt out .. i wanted to repair myself, asked keystone who made the light so i can order a new one.. KEYSTONE said they wont tell me and to take it to dealer. The exterior black plastic molding that covers the screws at the top disintegrated after 1 year. The carpet has worn exremely fast. Our sob carpet still looked new after 13 years. The passenger side front tire wore very fast. The outside edge does not even last for 1500 miles. On second set if tires with about 4500 miles total. The refrigerator has stainless steel doors. They banged and dented against the cabinets and counter.. The slides in the living area have gouged and scratched the vinyl floor in various areas. While on a rough freeway the wood moldings came down.. We are using the rv now on the pacific coast.
The heater works the best ive ever had in an rv.. Fireplace works well, and so far after all the issues its been ok...
Buy another? Id look at others most likely.. wife loves the front kitchen model however.. They impoved the roofs, took carpet out on stairs, fixed the mirror over the sink issue.. use better tires. Just wish i could buy a fifth wheel with aluminum sidewalls and aluminum roof... Holiday Rambler and Alumiscape were that way..

Our 2013 3750FL has been very good for us . Count us as satisfied.
Considering the thousands of units built there are always problem units..Rvs, Cars, Boats, they all can build lemons, but percentages are pretty small imho.
Some people just get a bad one sometimes and that really hurts the brand.
That's where Keystone and their dealers need to step up their game, i.e. build quality contol, and after purchase support by Keystone and dealers. That's where I feel that the real failure of satisfied and repeat customers needs have to be addressed. My opinion is that should be their #1 job and priority.
Right now for us, we will be getting a new one in the future.
