Shower head

Went to one of the seminars at the Good Sam event in Phoenix last month and picked up a tip for a replacement shower head that actually really improves how your shower woks. About $50 if you order the shut off valve with it. Here is the link:

I like that the shut off keeps some water flowing in the video. I had a previous version which completely stopped the water flow and we always got a cold shot when turning it back on. Reminds me that I need to get a new one for the Monty.

Has anyone used the new version? Supposedly it has the SmartPause integrated into it somehow and not a separate valve. I saw it had CW yesterday, but documentation on the box didn't do a good job explaining what that meant. I may go get one just to figure it out. It also has 3 adjustable spray patterns. They call it the Body Spa Adventure RV.

Lots of people are going with the new Ecocamel Jetstorm shower head as it uses a little less water than the Oxygenics. However, we are the owners of 3 Oxygenis shower heads.

I have been pretty unhappy with my HC Shower head. In my old MH I installed a residential and thermostatic mixing valve. I see the ads for Oxygenics and Jetstorm and I also want to add a mixing valve. Residential is out due to the shower construction in my HC. Does anyone have specific recommendations and comparison of the two heads, possibly a sliding height mount and a mixing valve. The shower head should also have an easily to use on off function for dry camping.

I finally installed the BodySpa Adventure RV made by Oxygenics shower head. It has a three position dial on the head. You can select from off (dry camping), fine spray or a larger droplet spray. It does a much better job than what came with the unit.

Our unit came with a sliding bar and nice metal hose, so I only had to replace the head.

Does the Oxygenics solve the problem of getting a burst of cold water when turning the water back on at the shower head?

Not 100%, but because the SmartPause does not completely stop the flow but instead continues a very slight trickle, the cold shot is not nearly as bad as it is on the heads that do stop the flow.

I found it very tolerable.

Thanks. On my last trailer I installed a shower head that I bought at Camping World (I can't remember the brand, but it was not Oxygenics) and it totally stopped the cold water burst. I don't what causes the cold water burst or how this shower head stopped it; I think I just got lucky.

I use the 50-60 regulator on the external hose going to the rig, and use the oxygenics shower head, and I took off the pause button, and it is awesome. I mean what is so hard about just turning off the two levers while you are soaping up and shampooing, and then turn them on again. Just don't point it at you, until the temp is right?

Letting it run until the temp is right takes extra water; we have to conserve water when boon-docking since we only have a 60 gal tank.
