Pre-wired Solar
Has anyone found any information on what is included with the prewired solar system. I have a 3791RD 2018 Legacy. There is a GO Power 30 amp panel in the inside under the in command unit.
No information came in all the manuals that came with the RV and I can't seem to find anything on the net.

There is a connector on the roof which is wired into your electric control panel. There should also be wiring from there to the battery compartment. All the wiring is 10 gauge which requires high voltage panels or limits the wattage.

DC doesn't like long runs of cable and 10 gauge isn't large enough to minimize loss. You're running DC voltage down that cable to the batteries - roughly 10 to 15 feet depending on how the factory pulled it. If you're only going to have 400 watts or so, 4 batteries, and aren't looking to have a 'perfect' system, you can use it as is. If you want to really optimize things, I'd figure out how to put in 6 gauge or even 4. This stuff is really stiff if solid core and large if stranded, so it might not go where the 10 gauge is now. Once again, Thor marketing and cost reduction people have influenced what they put in your unit.

The 10 gauge wire will support high voltage panels as long as you put the charge controller close to the batteries. Would just need large wire between charge controller and batteries.

I have 2018 3120RL Legacy, and I have a card in the owners manual saying pre-wired, and I have the connections jacks on the roof. Anyone have a clue where these cables are as I don't see anything in the battery bay. Is is possible that they are at my command center? I haven't put a "toner" trace on the cables yet, but figured I'd ask if anyone has used the pre-wired solar, and knows where the ends are.

The wiring came in behind the electrical command center on ours.

Same problem I am having with my 2018 3791RD Legacy. Plant won't tell us either. I want to put in Solar but need to know what I have first.
