New to Forum

Greetings!
My wife and I are aspiring RVrs looking to learn more about the Montana line in advance of our first purchase. I'm looking forward to searching the forum and learning from those who wish to share your sage advice. Thanks in advance.

Welcome, Steve. If this is your first RV then it's a daunting decision and you may find that reading the forums about the different manufacturers can make it more confusing. There's a lot of bad news out there that can be discouraging. Hopefully you will find here a lot of encouragment from many who have a lot of years towing trailers. There's nothing like having your own home away from home and comfortably enjoying the places you want to visit.

My wife and I have been towing trailers for over 35 years and have always bought used and have built a lot of great memories with our family. This Monty is our first new 5er and it took a while before deciding to purchase. You will be looking at floorplans, features, size, weight, tow vehicle compatibility, and BUDGET. It's a lot to think through. We found that through all of the frustrations that people have with their trailers, which exist in all manufacturers, that Keystone (and Montana in particular) seemed to rise above the fray in our budget.

Don't let the negative discourage you and listen to a lot of great experience and advice you can find here. Just accept that you will not buy a perfect RV...you will have things to take care of, repair, replace, etc. It's just part of the ride.

Welcome and good luck with your search. Don't hesitate to ask questions.

Welcome to the forum from Arizona. Great advice jsb5717 just gave.

We started out with a used rig to be sure this was for us. We now are on number 3 rig and number 2 truck.

Watch your weights get a 4X4 trunk as you will find you just may need it.

Gents, thank you both! We've taken a look at a few Montana's and narrowed it down to the 3760/61 or 3790/91. Also looking at the horsepower, towing capacity of either an F350 or Ram 3500 dually for the power plant. Lots of questions from What's the best time of year to buy? to What do you pack in your tool bag? I have a little time in front of me before we make the plunge so I have the opportunity to dig in and pick y'alls brains!
Again, thanks for the add!

Welcome to the Forum! One thing to remember is that we have thousands of members and this is the place you can come to get help with problems. Problems are not that frequent with Montanas but folks without problems usually don't post here except to help someone else out.
