USB issues

I’m new on here. So, Hello!!!
We have a 2016 Montana 3711FL.
Our usb charging station next to the sink has no power. We have tried everything. Does anyone have any ideas about how to fix this. I’m thinking a loose wire some where.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Mine worked for a couple days then died. I'm told there may be a fuse in the back of the USB module. Haven't looked further yet but thought I'd pass that on...if you figure it out report back! :-)

Wecome to the forum from Washington state. Our year model coach did not come with USB outlets so I cannot help you. Performing a quick Google search on the topic return lots of similar complaints and appears to be a common failure of the part.

Since it's next to the sink the ground fault switch might have tripped. Look for a little red button on nearby electric socket.

That's what I thought at first, Kemo...but discovered that the 12 volt plug right next to the USB outlets still worked, and no other outlets were affected. Oh, and the GFI wasn't tripped. I'm guessing the OP is having the same issue? I suspect it is just a poor quality, not suited to the area or the task.

Right next to the sink was a poor place to put the outlet, for sure. If it had even been put higher, it would have made more sense in terms of access from both sides of the sink hutch.

We already owned a 12 volt usb charger, so plugged it in the still functioning 12 volt outlet and put the charger on top of the hutch, where it can easily accommodate both kitchen and LR areas. And get phones up and away from a wet surface.

We have two USB outlets in the bedroom, both of them on the same side of the bed. They work without shore power. For the other side of the bed, I run a 10’ long charging cord under the mattress.

A little off the subject but you can buy combination AC duplex recepticals with build in USB plugins. Costco even sells them. This won't help if you do not have shore power, but they are an easy install for more flexibility in where you want to charge your devices.

i added the combo outlets mentioned above to my monty, as well as these that run on 12 v. they are high capacity (2.1A each)

the only affiliation i have with the link is that i purchased them for my unit, and am happy with them thus far.

one thing i would change, and may go back and change, is putting a switch on them so that the blue light is off when i am not using them..
