Maybe this weekend!!!!!!!

As you all know, because I have fussed about it so much, I do not like the campground where we have been staying since February. And, that we've been waiting for another campground in town to come out from under 11 feet of snow. Welllllllllll, we no longer have any internet access at the campground - not even sitting inside the campground office. And, NO, the owners aren't here - as usual.... Sooooooo, I am in town (a 40 mile round trip) to check e-mails. On my way in, I rode through the campground we want to go to (Bear Creek RV Park) and he has started clearing our space. The full length (70 feet) of the site is open. It looks like he still has to clear the entire width (20 feet).

Woo Hoo. Yippyyyyyyyy! Hallelujah!!!!!!!!

Maybe this weekend, we can join the living again! I sure do hope so!!!!

Do you think you have any recourse on this owner? You should really put your foot down on payments for this NOT AS ADVERTISED campground.
Do they belong to any camping orginizations(sic) you can contact and put in a formal complaint?
You really have my sympathy in all you two have endured this winter. I don't think I could have,my fuse is to short...

We hope that your new site will be everything you want and wish for. We are awed by your photos of Alaska. Being raised in Michigan has made us not wish to do what you are doing but we read with interest your posts. We headed the opposite way, to the Orlando area, for the winter.

Tammy,
Do the words "Better Business Bureau," mean anything up that-a-way?
False advertising comes to mind as one complaint.

All I have to say is "hats off to you" for your fortitude and patience with regard to this campground and the absentee owners...that being said I agree with the premise that you should/need to lodge a formal complaint (or complaints) where possible so that this "business" people get the message that there are a number of things that are fundamentally WRONG. Granted they may feel somewhat confident with the idea they have a "captive" audience (at least at this time of year) and that the customers they have are mobile and therefore their complaints are a non-issue, but return business and word of mouth are what make or break a business. People with such a cavalier attitude towards their business and their customers DO NOT deserve to be in business. Write away to everyone...though I'd likely wait until my new digs were available and I was settle there.

Regardless, HOORAY for the light at the end of the tunnel and your upcoming new digs!

WE ARE HERE!!!!! Hallelujah! We are in the new campground. We are at Bear Creek RV Park. We have every amenity available to man, woman, dog & cat (our family)! It is absolutely wonderful. We moved in the middle of a snow storm, but we would have moved in the middle of a monsoon! We are wiped out from all the excitement today and are out the door to get some supper! Woo Hoo! Gosh, I've missed my Montana friends. We will be regulars again!

You know, Ozzie, there is a road like that here! And I love driving it in the car - not the truck and rig!

Bernie took pics of the rig and snow for you. I keep telling him he needs to download them for y'all. Keep your eyes out. Maybe tonight!

Tammy,
We stayed at Bear Creek, too, but that was in July!!! Enjoyed the fish and chips and a brew at Thorn's Showcase Lounge. Nice town in the summer!!!

Precisely why I left. The 3 H's. Heat, Humidity and Hurricanes.

I had to run to the post office this morning. On my way out the door to find my car in the snow, I fell (not hurt). I sat down on my rear end. The snow was chest deep (while sitting) and woo hoo - cold! Only up to my knees while walking (well, trudging)!
