2014 NE Rally Information

Hi!

2014 Northeast Rally Attendees: We just wanted to post some items of interest for everyone.

Turning into the campground could be tricky.

Entrance to the campground FROM THE EAST -

Route 30 west of the campground is a 4 lane limited access highway. Once you come to the end of the freeway you will encounter traffic lights and 5 traffic lanes. Once you are off the freeway and into the traffic, get into the passing lane and stay there. You will pass the Tanger Mall and even a Dunkin Donuts. Once you reach the sign for Dutch Wonderland (DON'T TURN IN HERE), you can cross into the center turning lane. The entrance to the campground is just behind the Wonderland Mini Golf sign. If you miss the turn, you will have to drive a long way to find a place to get turned around. The campground cannot be seen from the road.

Please check in at the office and pay your campsite bill.

The rally fee will be $15. This will cover the expenses for firewood, ice cream, hot dogs/hamburgers, etc. We are asking for cash payment, please, for both the rally fee and Amish Feast. As a reminder, the Amish Feast is $24.45 per person. We will collect these monies at the Meet and Greet.

For the Meet and Greet, please bring an appetizer type food (finger food) to share and your own beverage of choice. We would like to remind you that this is a "Green" rally so please bring your tableware for each food event.

On Friday, we will assemble at 5:15 pm to travel to the Plain and Fancy Restaurant for the Amish Feast. Please "truck pool" as much as possible.

For the Sunday Picnic in the Pavilion, please bring a picnic food dish and dessert to share along with your own beverage of choice. Hamburgers, hotdogs, buns, cheese, ketchup, mustard, relish, lettuce and tomatoes will be provided. I will need two additional grills to cook the hot dogs and hamburgers. If you are willing to offer your grill and expertise in cooking these items, please let me know. Thank you.

I am also looking for people to be campfire tenders. This does not need to be one person for the rally but if several take turns, that would work. Please let me know.

We are really looking forward to seeing all of you and enjoying the time together.

We have a Webber gas grill and a "strong burger fliper arm". It's available to help.

Due to circumstances beyond our control we will have to cancel out of the rally. We are not happy campers but that's life.
