DeHumidifier

Do any of you use a de-humidifier in your rigs? If so, do they improve the cooling capability? I have one in the basement of my stick & brick and may hang onto it if it would be beneficial. If not it becomes another item in the upcoming moving sale. I appreciate your input.

Thanks!

We use a small table top de-humidifier. When we were in the humid weather in Florida a couple of weeks ago, the small de-humidifier pulled about three cups of water out of the air inside the rig. I would think it would have to help. Ours is a cheap Wal-mart Windmere model that we paid less than $50 for a few years ago.

I use one of these for the last few years. It is small and fits most RV spaces it has barely enough capacity for a 40 foot rv. https://www.amazon.com/Eva-Dry-Edv-4.../dp/B00GOZ1XLK

We use one of these when we're in the South and it does seem to help. In Georgia and Florida last winter we emptied it about every two days: https://www.amazon.com/Ivation-GDM20...5%3A2470955011

We used one this past February/March in Florida. It made a big difference especially on cool days when the dampness just felt icky. The one we bought has a condensate pump that emptied into the galley sink. My plan was to install an outside drain for if/when we left the rig down in Florida.

If you love mildew all over your clothes etc.. in your closet by all means do NOT use one but being fulltimer in the NW for 5 years now you have got to use one,we used for awhile a couple of Dri-Eze in the closet and it made a Huge difference BUT we got tired of buying the Crystals all the time ,Now we use a Medium size electric one and we dump the water out of the big container every week ,go to Amazon or E bay and pick one for about 80 bucks and call it good
