Crystal River, FL
We are back at Encore in Crystal River, FL. Boy is it great to get back to some warmer weather. Hope all you MOC members had a great holiday season and wish you all the best for the coming New Year! We were blessed to see all our children and grandchildren during the holidays. Leaving the Montana here in FL was a great decision. We traveled up to our vacation home in WV, up to CT to visit children and grandchildren, and finally to OH. Unfortunately the worst weather we saw was in OH. We spent a wonderful Christmas day with daughter and family in Pataskala, OH, just east of Columbus. They had been without electricity for four days, but luckily had a small generator so were able to stay in their home. With ice 3" thick on everything it was certainly a Christmas to remember. (They had their power restored after 7 days). The day after Christmas we headed south, choosing to follow I-81 through VA into TN and then hit I-75 south. This took us between the snow and ice storms. We certainly saw a lot of snowbirds heading south. Was great to get back to warmer weather and get all that road salt off our truck. We are now settled in here for the next three months and will have WiFi access so hope to get back active on the forum. Have missed all of you. By the way RETIREMENT and Semi-fulltiming is GREAT!!! We are lovin it. For those of you who are still working and must stay in the cold north for now, be patient...your time will come. Tom worked for 45 years for this and we are taking full advantage of these earned "golden years". If you are headed south do stop by and say hello. We hope to meet many of you at the Tampa RV show in a couple of weeks.
