Goodyear Marathon Tire Wear

What kind of miles are folks getting on the Goodyear Marathon Tires before replacing them? Mine has an estimated 12,000 miles and wear is showing, even though it is even and has plenty of tread remaining. Just want to plan a new set in the budget.

What kind of wear are you seeing? Is the wear even across the tread or is there heavier wear on the inside edge and/or outside edge? Also, what year and model is your fifthwheel? Reason I ask is there was a move to heavier axles awhile back in some models. Many of us had serious tire wear with the lighter axles because of axle bending and misalignment.

Wear side to side appears even. 2008 3465SA. To date no complains on the tires.

A quick and dirty way to check and see how even a new tire is wearing is to wipe a piece of chalk across the tread and drive a short distance to see where the chalk wears off first. This easy test will tell you if it is over or under inflated, or if you need to increase wheel width.
