Route Information to MCD in McKinney ,TX

We are thinking about taking the Montana down to MCD to finish off the bedroom on our Legacy Edition. For the life of me I don't know why they stopped with the beautiful shades at the window by the bathroom door and the entire bedroom? Any way my routing takes us down Interstate 35 to Kansas City, MO where we catch US69 to Dennison, Tx. There we take US75 to McKinney to the MCD factory. Can anyone tell me how is US69 and US75? it looks like they may be 4 lane, do they tend to avoid larger urban areas? Any information would be appreciated.

I know that 69 is 2 lane south of Fort Scott, KS for some distance. I would take US 71 (I-49) south out of KC to Fort Smith,AR, then west on I-40 to 69 (Checotah). You'll miss the roughest part of 69. Just an idea.

I would also go with what Steve said. We used to drive from TX to I-44 in OK frequently when our daughter lived in Illinois. Been several years, but the stretch of 69 from the 69/75 split at Atoka always had many random miles that were never in very good condition. Don't know if 69 just didn't get as much funding as the dual designated 69/75 or what.

We did drive 75/69 northbound from TX as far as I-40 at Checotah last August. Came back a different route. Highway was pretty good except for the 30 or so miles between McAlester and Checotah and that was fairly rough. But the northbound side has not always been the same as the southbound side. One side may be good while the other is rough.
